"Wheat crop is ready for harvest.
Time to rejoice and feel nice
Fruits to reap of blood and sweat,
And get joyous and celebrate life.”
With this spirit the Primary Wing of Moti Ram Arya Sr. Sec. Model School, Sector 27 A, Chandigarh celebrated Baisakhi with gusto and religious fervour. A special assembly was conducted by the Primary Wing to welcome the harvest season.To mark the occasion, the Assembly commenced with the soulful chanting of the Gayatri Mantra and a heartfelt English Prayer, setting a calm and positive tone.The students highlighted the religious and cultural significance of the festival in an enlightening speech. A beautiful poem was recited which added flavour to celebration.
On the onset of Sikh New Year and the founding of the Khalsa Panth, the students performed the traditional Bhangra, which depicted the real life of farmers of Punjab.
The motive behind the celebrations was to apprise the students of the rich culture and heritage of Punjab.
The Headmistress Ms. Ramandeep Kaur conveyed her best wishes to all and blessed everyone with the bounty of the season and a harvest of joy and prosperity.
The assembly concluded with the National Anthem, leaving everyone's hearts brimming with a sense of pride, unity, and festive spirit.
