M.R.A. Senior Secondary School , Chandigarh celebrated the 76th Republic Day of India with great fervor and enthusiasm, fostering a sense of national pride and unity among students and staff. The event commenced at 9:40 a.m. with a special assembly organized by Gandhi House, under the guidance of Ms. Simran. The theme for this year’s celebration, “Swarnim Bharat – Virasat aur Vikas” (Golden India – Heritage and Development), was prominently highlighted throughout the program.

The Principal delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking speech, emphasizing the significance of Republic Day and reflecting on the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters to secure the values enshrined in the Constitution of India. The Principal reminded everyone of the Fundamental Duties outlined in the Constitution and urged students to fulfill their roles responsibly, contributing positively toward nation-building. The Principal also motivated educators, highlighting their vital role in shaping future citizens and inspiring them to continue nurturing values of patriotism, unity, and excellence among their students.

The assembly featured a series of vibrant cultural performances that captivated the audience. Students from various grades showcased their talents through patriotic dances, melodious songs, and thought-provoking poetry. Inspirational speeches delivered by the students added to the spirit of the occasion, leaving everyone in high spirits and deeply moved.

Adding an intellectual dimension to the celebration, a Republic Day quiz was conducted for the students, featuring questions on the history and significance of the day. The winners were rewarded with prizes, which infused a spirit of healthy competition and ignited enthusiasm among the participants.
