On November 13, 2024, Moti Ram Arya Sr. Sec. Model School Sector 27 A, Chandigarh, celebrated both Gurpurab and Children's Day with great enthusiasm. The day began with a special assembly organized by Junior Wing, which served as a platform to honour the legacy of Guru Nanak Dev Ji while also celebrating the joy of childhood.
Special Morning Assembly was led by students of Primary classes.
The atmosphere was filled with reverence and excitement as students gathered to pay homage to Guru Nanak Dev Ji on his 550th birth anniversary.
The assembly included speech by the Headmistress, Mrs Ramandeep Kaur highlighting the teachings and significance of Guru Nanak, emphasizing values such as equality, compassion, and service to humanity.
Shabad Gayan
A significant part of the assembly was dedicated to Shabad Gayan, where students sang devotional hymns in praise of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
The melodious renditions created a spiritual ambiance, allowing everyone present to connect with the essence of Sikh teachings.
The Shabads performed were carefully selected to reflect the core messages of Guru Nanak, promoting peace and harmony.
Puppet Show for Children
To add a fun element to the celebrations, a puppet show was organized for the younger students.
The puppet show depicted learning to Save Earth keeping in mind the prevailing situation of global warming , making it both educational and entertaining.
Children were engaged and captivated by the colorful puppets and lively performances, which helped instill a sense of cultural pride and awareness among them.
