Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary Model School, Chandigarh, was abuzz with enthusiasm and patriotic fervour as it hosted a memorable combined event on 14th August 2024, celebrating the Investiture Ceremony, Prize Distribution, and Independence Day. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the School’s Director, Mrs. Rachna Mahajan, whose participation added to the significance of the occasion.
The day commenced with the Investiture Ceremony, a pivotal moment where the newly elected student council members were officially entrusted with their responsibilities. Director Mrs. Rachna Mahajan, alongside Principal Dr. Seema Biji and Headmistress Ramandeep Kaur, bestowed badges and sashes upon the President Boy, President Girl, Head Boy, Head Girl, and other student council members and class prefects. These young leaders took a solemn oath to uphold the school’s values and work diligently for the welfare of their peers. Mrs. Rachna Mahajan congratulated the newly elected council members and class prefects, encouraging them to lead with integrity and dedication.
Following the Investiture Ceremony, the much-anticipated Prize Distribution took centre stage. Students who had excelled in academics, sports, and various co-curricular activities were honoured with certificates, medals, and trophies. The school’s dignitaries congratulated the awardees for their hard work and dedication, urging them to continue striving for excellence in all their endeavours.
In her address, Mrs. Rachna Mahajan, the Director, expressed her pride in the students and blessed them with words of wisdom and encouragement. The final segment of the event was the Independence Day celebration. The cultural program that followed was a vibrant showcase of India’s rich diversity, with students performing dances, songs, and skits that beautifully reflected the spirit of freedom and unity.
