Gurupurab Celebration

Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary Model School, Sector-27-A, Chandigarh celebrated the 552nd birth anniversary of ‘Guru Nanak Dev ji’ with gusto. A chance to explore the journey into Sikhism, their traditions, and to infuse within students, respect for their culture.

The celebration commenced with recitation of the ‘Mool Mantar’. Shabads and holy hymns sparked a religious fervour in the air. Students disseminated information about the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev and were inspired to lead a life like him.

Turban- tying competition for students was the special feature of the celebration which was really enjoyed by all the participants as well as the audience. Principal Dr. Seema Biji wished a happy Gurpurab to all and threw light on the importance of the day and told students to follow the path and principles of Guru Nanak Dev ji.

Mr. M.L. Sondhi, the administrator and educational officer gave the message that teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji are of great significance to mankind and can help in transforming the society. At the end, the Principal congratulated and cheered up all the turban- tying competition winners to show their skills and potential and distributed the prizes to them. The day ended with the National Anthem.
